The construction of Tapus Stadium was carried out by Simalainge Engineering Indonesia Ltd, a construction company based in Mentawai and Padang, West Sumatra.

The main sports facility commonly referred to by the public as 'Tapus Stadium' in Pasaman Regency (East Pasaman) refers to the Galugur Saiyo Tapus Football Field (often known as the Tapus Green Field).

Main Functions Aside from serving as the training base for the popular local club Garuda Tapus FC, the field regularly hosts village and regional football tournaments such as the Garuda Cup and the NNB Cup.

Public Activity Center Due to its expansive open area, the field serves as a central hub for major events in Padang Gelugur District. Several large regional agendas have been hosted here, including the opening ceremony of the Pasaman Regency National Qur'an Recitation Competition (MTQ) and the 'Pasaman Bangkit' Healthy Walk event commemorating Indonesia's Independence Day.
